2007/2008 Inferno All Stars Teams

Below you will find a basic explanation of the team(s) breakdown for 2007/ 2008 and how a cheerleader is placed on a team. Please note team placement is at the coaching staff’s discretion. Some cheerleaders learn quicker and advance sooner than others. Our goal is to challenge each cheerleader to their best effort and provide a fun and rewarding experience at the same time. Team Sparks- Ages 8 & Under. This team introduces the fundamentals of cheerleading. Fundamentals include motions, correct motion placement, basic jumps & jump technique, basic stunt skills and beginning tumbling skills including rolls, cartwheels, round offs, back bends etc. Sparks will also incorporate the cheers, dance, tumbling and stunting skills they learn into a routine that is performed during the inMotion tumbling recital. Sparks also perform in at least one or two exhibition performances locally including the annual NHS Pacesetter Drill Team Show.

Team Heat- Ages 12 & Under. This team introduces the fundamentals of cheerleading. Fundamentals include motions, correct motion placement, basic jumps & jump technique, basic stunt skills and beginning tumbling skills including rolls, cartwheels, round offs, back bends, back & front walkovers etc. All skills learned will be incorporated into a routine which will be performed during the inMotion tumbling recital. Team Heat will also attend one competition and two exhibition performances during the season in addition to recital.

Team Flame - Ages 14 & Younger. This team also introduces all the before mentioned skills of cheerleading at an accelerated pace. All skills will be incorporated into a routine which is performed throughout the season at various competitions and exhibitions. The main focus of this team is competition. Team members will attend a minimum of four competitions and two exhibition performances during the season. Placement on this team is solely at the coach’s discretion as this is an advance level of cheerleading that requires intermediate to advanced stunting and tumbling in addition to a higher level of maturity. *Cheerleaders wishing to be considered for this team must be able to do a back walk over and or a back extension on their own*

Team Fire- Ages 18 & Younger-This team also introduces all the before mentioned skills of cheerleading at an accelerated pace. All skills will be incorporated into a routine which is performed throughout the season at various competitions and exhibitions. The main focus of this team is competition. Team members will attend a minimum of four competitions and two exhibition performances during the season. Placement on this team is solely at the coach’s discretion as this is an advance level of cheerleading that requires intermediate to advanced stunting and tumbling in addition to a higher level of maturity. *Cheerleaders wishing to be considered for this team must be able to do a back walk over on their own and have or is learning to do a backhandspring* 

Team Blaze-Any Age/Open-These cheerleaders will perform and or compete exhibitions of fun advanced stunting skills as four or five girl stunt groups at summer fairs, competitions, recital etc. Practice schedule and times to be determined based on team members schedules and will be determined at a later date & time separate from the inMotion registration schedule. 

Cheerleading Registration for Team Flames & Team Fire will be held June 4, 2008.

Cheerleading Registration for Team Sparks & Team Heat will be held in July. Date TBA.
