Snow Day Make Up Classes- inMotion has scheduled make up dates for the latest round of snow dates.   A complete list has begun to be distributed in classes and is available for download as well. Please be sure to mark your calendars with these dates. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and view the documents.

Please note Wednesday Feb 6 classes that were cancelled due to weather are not required to be made up as each class is allowed one snow day per year. As we’ve not had to cancel any classes on Wednesday so far this year this will be counted as the one allowed snow day. Thank you.

FREE Cheer Tryout Clinic – Spring is coming and so are cheerleading tryouts! Anyone interested in trying out for a cheerleading team is invited to attend a FREE clinic at inMotion Center!

WHEN: March 22, 2008 

WHERE: inMotion Center 

TIME: 1-3pm Skills  3:15-4:15 Mock tryouts

All participants will learn correct motion and jump techniques that are essential to cheerleading as well as what to expect and how a cheerleading tryout works.  At the end of the skills session there will be mock tryouts for anyone wanting to practice a tryout scenario and receive feedback and tips to improve their performance.  Particpants can participate in one, the other or both sessions at their discretion.   Please come dressed in comfortable exercise clothing and tennis shoes. No jeans or street shoes will be allowed. This clinic is being directed by Rose Farver & Jerrica Umbarger, inMotion Inferno All Star’s coaches.  Rose & Jerrica have more than 20 years experience between them as cheerleaders, coaches and judges.  If you have any questions please contact Rose at 641-792-4649. NHS Pacesetter Show - Mark your calendars for February 23, 2008! Its the annual NHS Pacesetter Show! The Inferno All Star Cheerleaders have been invited as guest performers! The show starts @  7pm and is held at Newton High School.  Admission is $5.00  per person.

inMotion Dance Company -  The iMc Dance Company will be competiting Sunday February 24, 2008 at the Des Moince Civic Center in the Starbound Dance Competition. Studio Life - Today’s studio life looks back to August 2007 where inMotion takes the AE Stage at the Iowa State Fair! inMotion has been invited as feature performers for severaral years now. The teachers and students really enjoy the experience! Here are a few fun pics from the day!

Tights For Sale $5.00

We have dance tights for sale at the front desk. Only $5.00 per pair. Normally priced at $8.00 you’re getting a GREAT savings! There are several colors, White, Black, Pink, and Tan. Various sizes to choose from including toddler through adult.  These are great for wear to dance classes every week. You could even cut off the feet and pair with some leg warmers for a very cute look!

Remember dancers are encouraged to dress appropriately for class. No jeans or street shoes are to be warn to class. Ballet and modern ballet classes are strongly encouraged to wear clothing that fits well and allows the instructor to see that body, arm, leg and foot placement are correct. It’s hard to tell in a baggy sweatshirt if someone is slouching or has their arm placed correctly for a position. It’s also goes to say if you dress like a dancer you’ll feel like a dancer or another saying is dress for success! When you look like a dancer you’ll be more confident in your dancing skills.
