inMotion was once again invited to perform at the Jasper County Fair and would like to thank all the performers, parents and fans for coming to watch!

Car Wash & Late Registration!

 

Registration-Did you miss the 2008/2009 registration dates? NO PROBLEM! You can call the studio at 641-792-4649 or you can sign up on August 25 4pm-8pm. Whatever is most convenient for you! Hurry though as classes are filling fast!

Car Wash-The Inferno All Stars are holding a car wash/fundraiser Saturday August 2 10am-1pm at HyVee Drugtown. Bring your dirty cars by and get all cleaned up for only $5/car! The cheerleaders are raising funds to pay for their first competition and appreciate your support!

2008/2009 Class Registration!

The brochures have all been mailed earlier this month and we hope you’ve all been receiving them! Be sure to look through them carefully for changes, new classes and other new information! Class registration is this week so be sure to stop in and sign up early as classes fill rather quickly and finally we dare you to compare! Compare our prices to other studios…we bet you’ll find you get more for your money and save at inMotion!

inMotion Fourth of July Parade Info - The parade and holiday are fast approaching! All inMotion students are invited to walk or ride on the inMotion float.  The parade begins @ 9:30am. Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the parade starts in the DMACC parking lot (as last year) and pick up at the same DMACC parking lot following the parade.  Please wear your recital t-shirts, shorts & comfortable shoes. If you don’t have a recital t-shirt you can wear any other inMotion t-shirt.  We Hope To See You There!

2008/2009 inMotion Center Brochures – We are finalizing all the details and information for the coming year and will begin mailing brochures out soon! Look for them in July!

DRESS REHEARSAL CHANGE! PLEASE TAKE NOTE! DRESS REHEARSAL CHANGE! PLEASE TAKE NOTE!

Dear Dance Parents,                                            5-16-08
(Michelle’s Monday 5:00 pm and Tuesday 4:00 pm class.)
(Tiffany’s Wednesday 4:30 pm and 6:15 pm class)

We decided that being at dress rehearsal for 5 hours was way too long for this age group.  So, we decided to have a special dress rehearsal for these 4 classes.  Below is your schedule.  You should only be at rehearsal for an hour or no longer than 1 ½ hours.

Tuesday, May 27th at 4:30 p.m. in the Auditorium at the Newton Highschool.  
This is the order we will rehearse in.  This is also the order you will do your dances in the show.
1.    I like to Move it…..Monday 5:00 p.m.
2.    Singing in the Rain….Tuesday 4:00 p.m.
3.    Move it Like This….Wednesday 6:15 p.m.
4.    What Time is it….Wednesday 4:30 p.m.
5.    Fabulous…..Tuesday 4:00 p.m.
6.    Jungle Book….Wednedsay 6:15 p.m.
7.    Ferngully….Monday 5:00 p.m.
8.    Hit Me Up…..Wednesday 4:30 p.m.

Remember: These 4 classes perform in both dance recitals.  Friday and Saturday!  

Reminder:  “Aint No Mountain” Mommy/child dance rehearsal is also this day at 6:45 p.m.

Technical Difficulties – Sorry for any errors or missing site pages you may have noted for 48hrs or so. We have gotten that all resolved and have restored all the site features once again!

Last Practices/Classes – Please note these last two weeks are VERY important for class attendance. We put on polishing touches, fix small things and just ensure everyone is ready to go.  Please don’t skip classes for other activities. We want to ensure your child’s performance is top notch!

Helping Hands Needed - Wednesday May 21 @ 6:15pm we will be loading and moving the props to the highschool. Yes, it’s just a few blocks but the more hands to help the quicker it will go! If you have a spare 1/2 hour that’s all we need! Meet at the dance studio office! Thanks!

Recital T Shirts- The orders have been placed for recital t-shirts, if you forgot you can do an order this week but this is your absolute last chance so don’t wait and get your order in today! 

Triumph Martial Arts – Did you miss the free class last night? Don’t worry you can still come and try just visit the link on the right hand menu for other dates and times! Martial arts is a great way to be get in shape, stay physically fit and have fun!

Mom & Daughter Rehearsal –  Sunday April 27 is the second rehearsal for all Mom & daughter dancers. Ages 3-8 are from 4:30pm-5. Ages 9-12 are from 5:-5:30pm. Ages 13 & Up are from 5:30-6pm. This is the 2nd of only 5 practices so be sure not to miss them! Also remember to order and pay for your Recital TShirts as this is your costume for the dance.

6 Weeks of Summer Dance & Fun -inMotion is now offering a summer session, registration will be June 9 with classes beginning June 30. You can choose from Beginning Yoga, Begninning Fitness, Pre/Youth Tap/Jazz, Adult Jazz, Teen/Adult Hip Hop, Drill Team, and MORE! Please download the flyer from the download box in the right hand menu for full class options, times and cost.  Some summer classes will be invited to perform at our annual Iowa State Fair performance. What a fun way to brush up on dance skills, get in shape, learn new things and more! Sign up now before all the sports are full! 

Summer Camp – Summer camp is back again for some great fun! All Summer camp participatns will perform at the Iowa State Fair. For full information download the flyer from the download box at the right hand side. Camp prices include sales tax, camp t-shirt, and free ticket for the performers into the State Fair. Camp registration is open any time, contact Michelle via email (michelle@inmotioncenter.net) or call the office at 641-792-4649 during studio hours. Camp is July 14-17. Deadline for registration is July 1. 

Inferno All Stars - Registration for teams Flames (Ages 12 & Under) & Fire (Ages 18 & Under) will be held Monday June 9, 4-6pm @ inMotion Center. Wednesday June 11 will be the first practice for these teams. Registration for Teams Sparks & Heat will be held July 23 & 24 during inMotion center’s regular registration period. Because the competition schedule for Teams Flames & Fire begins in October and they finish in February we must start in June to accomodate. Information for monthly tuition, competition & uniform fees will be distributed next month before recital. Thanks!

inMotion Dance Company -  The iMc Dance Company will be competiting Sunday February 24, 2008 at the Des Moince Civic Center in the Starbound Dance Competition. Friends, families and all inMotion’s students are invited to attend to cheer them on! For more information contact our office @ 641-792-4649.  Learn more about inMotion’s Dance Company HERE.

Inferno Cheerleaders & Pacesetter Show -  The inMotion Inferno Cheerleaders will be performing at the annual NHS Pacesetter show tomorrow night to be held at the Newton High School Gym.  All Inferno cheerleaders need to arrive between 6:20-6:30pm and meet in the cafeteria. Please be sure to arrive completely ready to cheer as there is very limited time to prepare before the show starts.   Teams Heat & Flames Coach Rose has your hair bows and will bring them to the performance.  After the teams are done performing they will be sitting in the upper west balcony for parents to pick up. Please pick them up immediately after they perform as we cannot stay with them during the show, we must be on the floor spotting the other performers. Thank you!
