Inferno Cheerleaders & Pacesetter Show -  The inMotion Inferno Cheerleaders will be performing at the annual NHS Pacesetter show tomorrow night to be held at the Newton High School Gym.  All Inferno cheerleaders need to arrive between 6:20-6:30pm and meet in the cafeteria. Please be sure to arrive completely ready to cheer as there is very limited time to prepare before the show starts.   Teams Heat & Flames Coach Rose has your hair bows and will bring them to the performance.  After the teams are done performing they will be sitting in the upper west balcony for parents to pick up. Please pick them up immediately after they perform as we cannot stay with them during the show, we must be on the floor spotting the other performers. Thank you!

inMotion Dance Company -  The iMc Dance Company will be competiting Sunday February 24, 2008 at the Des Moince Civic Center in the Starbound Dance Competition. FREE Cheer Tryout Clinic – Spring is coming and so are cheerleading tryouts! Anyone interested in trying out for a cheerleading team is invited to attend a FREE clinic at inMotion Center!

WHEN: March 22, 2008 

WHERE: inMotion Center 

TIME: 1-3pm Skills  3:15-4:15 Mock tryouts

All participants will learn correct motion and jump techniques that are essential to cheerleading as well as what to expect and how a cheerleading tryout works.  At the end of the skills session there will be mock tryouts for anyone wanting to practice a tryout scenario and receive feedback and tips to improve their performance.  Particpants can participate in one, the other or both sessions at their discretion.   Please come dressed in comfortable exercise clothing and tennis shoes. No jeans or street shoes will be allowed. This clinic is being directed by Rose Farver & Jerrica Umbarger, inMotion Inferno All Star’s coaches.  Rose & Jerrica have more than 20 years experience between them as cheerleaders, coaches and judges.  If you have any questions please contact Rose at 641-792-4649. Snow Day Make Up Classes- inMotion has scheduled make up dates for the latest round of snow dates.   A complete list has begun to be distributed in classes and is available for download as well. Please be sure to mark your calendars with these dates. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and view the documents.

Please note Wednesday Feb 6 classes that were cancelled due to weather are not required to be made up as each class is allowed one snow day per year. As we’ve not had to cancel any classes on Wednesday so far this year this will be counted as the one allowed snow day. Thank you.

Monday February 18, 2008 – Please note that even though Newton schools are closed on Monday the 18th inMotion Center is still open and will be having regular classes.

RECITAL FEE- Please remember your recital fee of $20 was due by February 7. You can pay anytime during regular business hours in the office. If you are interested in helping backstage during recital you can save $5.00 on the recital fee by volunteering.

Flames Competition Fee- Please remember all Inferno Team Flames cheerleaders your competition fee is due this Wednesday February 13. Please plan on brining it with you to practice and turn into Coach Rose.

Spring Fundraiser- We have sent home the fund raising packets ! We encourage everyone to  take advantage of this opportunity to raise funds for tuition, recital fee and inMotion apparel.  The fund raiser orders & payments must be turned into the office by February 21, 2008. Please remember to make one check for the total amount payable to inMotion Center at the time you turn in your order.

Studio Life- What’s studio life? Well that’s just the daily ins and outs at the studio! We’d like to share those on a more regular basis with everyone and will be doing so through the use of our blog!

Here is Michelle’s Wed 7pm Modern Class trying on their costumes.  They’ve invited the other classes in to see them and watch their dance.  This happens frequently as we like to see what each other is up to and get feedback on how we’re doing.  Below that you’ll see Jasmine giving us a good look at this unique costume!
